You know I love polls.
And it is time to consider one of the iPhone apps to take as a guide for our Camino. But no one can afford to buy all the paid apps out there, so hopefully many of you have tried some of these and may have opinions of which ones are valuable and which ones aren't.

Also, this is assuming you will have already loaded the Forum app, so it is not listed.

Please share your opinions and list any others that are missing.

That is very nice of you TrekRight. Most people do not realize that Apple has to take their piece of the pie. I love my Iphone but sometimes I wish I had an android because there are some apps that people don't want to pay Apple so they just do an android version.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Guess few people have an opinion. Or is it that no one uses these apps?

Never heard of any of these apps. What do they do? Are they like guidebooks?

I agree with Dutch.
I'm starting the Ingles in 3 weeks time - do any of the "apps" cover that camino?
And can I load them onto my fairly old Nokia [5280 I think!!??]
Remember - I'm an ancient guy not too familiar with "apps"!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Agreeing with Ivar, you might also want to consider the free Camino app by Eroski in Spanish

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
First and foremost, the Forum app is the best way to stay in touch here and to get questions directly answered.
The others all appear to be like guidebooks.
I was hoping more folks here had used one or two and could give some input.

I bought "Camino Frances a wise pilgram" app for iPhones for $4.99 it has a wealth of information and works without an Internet connection (except for GPS part) it tells of each town along the way with places to stay including cost and amenities, points of interest, and more. I'm not even planning on bringing my heavy guidebook now that I have it!
How is it working for you - I've thought about doing this I downloaded a couple of paid apps but I'm not starting until August and I certainly do NOT want to be carrying a 300 page guidebook :D

So far I downloaded the forum app - duh - an app in spanish called Pedi Relax that tells you where medical and pharmacies are near you on the camino - the Eroski app - the Wise Pilgrim app - and the TrekRight app - I guess I'll find out which ones are the best when I'm on the road :D

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

itsjann I would suggest still bringing your guide book. I had the Brierley and the trekright app and our friends had the app you are talking about. And guess what we used all of them. Somethings were in the book some were in one app and not the other. There was also a green guide people had which we used sometimes also because it had information about buses and trains for the people who did not have time to do it all. I went with my daughter and she had the book and I had the app so we both had a point of reference.
