Hi
The one item I would never go without, that weighs nothing, doesn't have to be packed, is always available, will help your fellow pilgrims enjoy their own journey more and will make your camino ultimately the best experience you will have is a smile and an open mind :)
I would humbly suggest that if you have luggage going into the hold then put your walking poles in with it. Never had a need for poles whilst checking in and out of airports ;)
If you only have 'cabin' luggage then most telescopic poles will fit inside and if you wrap them in a jumper or pair of...
A subject close to my heart Br. David.I have been wild camping a lot lately and always with a view to minimum food costs.
I am not sure how you define 'scavenging' in your post, but i often 'eat from the land', buy 'expiry date discounted' foods, and wait for 'end of day' market produce to...

Something for me to learn from :-)
Thank you for sharing :-)
Re:Stephen Hawking on the Camino? or how the SJ told porky p
Assumptions? Oh dear!
Like any organisation that grows far above its original mandate power struggles can ensue.
The reputation of the Jeruits today is not the same as it was in the 2nd Presidents day nor as in your mentioned...

50 kilometers in one day for charity is one thing juju, but my advice is take it easier on your camino :-)
It is better to walk a lesser distance if one has time restraints rather than try to walk a marathon everyday just to say one started in a particular place in my opinion.
I agree with...
