I think the only thing you might be missing is nuanced French, which can be delightful. Personally, I love MMDDs! Alas, I've not used one on a chemin / camino. Just enjoyed the reading and dreaming experiences.
My thoughts similarly, @JillGat - @Ponch, if you want to bring a sleep sack for the BUGgers, maybe they'll cuddle in their own, and leave you in peace... make peace not war... 😘
I usually walk in the Fall, but in 2017, I walked from Logroño to Sahagun (but not the meseta) and LOVED to see the wind blowing thru the new, GREEN wheat - maybe about a foot high - not sure - absolutely lovely. I was used to seeing golden wheat, or bare fields...
Am looking at my photos of...
In this case, I'd advise email - tho things could have changed - but if it's the same family ownership, they will reply. Also, they had both individual rooms with two beds and on the top floor a much larger, very nice room with about 8 single BEDS.
You might catch a bus or taxi to the Rey Fernando Hostal which is very near the entry to the bus terminal. You might contact them (+34981593550) to see if you can arrive late - it might be worth a reasonable sleep... It's a decent place. I'd stay there again if I had a tight connection and an...
In fact, it's Monasterio de Bargota - found in Village to Village Guide 2023. Also, try this link - https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/puente-la-reina-monasterio-de-bargota-maneru-santa-barbara-88450000 and possibly this https://www.juventudnavarra.es/es/monasterio-de-bargota-i...
In my 2012 and 2022 editions of Brierley's, on pg 76, see at the bottom of the 0.0km Puenta la Reina section (bottom quarter of the page) it mentions the 13th (XIII) C site of the Monasterio de Bogota... Also in the map there is the small "pyramid" of purple dots and mentions ruinas. I don't...
I have certainly learned a lot about religion, spirituality, myself, and so many other things while walking and experiencing the Camino. Gratitudes. I’ve returned to the Francés many times because it keeps reminding me of all the people and experiences I’ve had… for which I will be forever...
Belorado - about 20 km after Santo Domingo -- and stay at Casa Waslala, with Paul and Belmalyn!! Belorado is a lovely place with wonderful murals, good places to find meals (Paul will probably make a reservation for you for dinner at Cuatro Cantones), and a few interesting ruins that have been...
Haven't read all the replies - sorry if I repeat, but why not the Frances in the Fall since you've done it in the Spring... I've done it mostly in the Fall, but once in the Spring, and it was wonderful seeing the difference in seasons!
Sorry, my preference would be to contact Correos either at the nearest office or via phone as indicated when I sent the bag - I like interpersonal contact when I'm on camino. My contacts with correos have always been positive. Also, I'm seldom in a hurry. One time I added an email address and...
