I feel obliged to say something about E-Bikes. I have walked the frances from StJpdP in 2018. For a different experience, I will be cycling it in July with an E-Bike. I have done a fair bit of training (and still do). Cycling 50-60 km every day at the age of 67 is no joke. In every ride my...
There are about 20 "Emma Louise Smith", but could not see one of them on the camino or with a bicycle. Sorry I think it is going to be a bit difficult to do business this way.

For what it is worth. When I did my first camino from St Jean pied de Porte, I was going to do it by cycling it. I've made an effort to get in contact with people who have both walked and cycled it. All 3 of them advised me to rather first walk it and then cycle it. I am so glad for that advice...
Do you specifically want to do the coastal route? The route I have planned for July is:
Porto
Barcelos
Ponte de Lima
Tui
Pontevedra
Padron (maybe)
I will actually be doing the frances first and then train to Porto for 3 days before I start.
You can built it yourself on the KOMOOT app. Or you can email me with your mobile nr and I can whatsapp you a file.

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of the type of train that runs between Santiago and Porto. So I am still a bit unsure and confused.
Has anyone traveled from Santiago de Compostela to Porto by train with an E-Bike? I know it is 2 x trains to take, but want to know if I can take the E-Bike that is not boxed with me even if there is a cost.
Any advice on this topic will be much appreciated.
I will be doing the Frances to Santiago, then the train to Porto and cycle from Porto to Santiago. Any further advice now that you know my planned routes.
WOW Well done and good luck "RESPECT". I am 67 and will do my first cycle camino in July. Although I use to be a regular cyclist in my younger days, I also opted for an E-Bike from Bicigrino. If I can get enough training miles in the legs and bum, I might still change it to a regular MTB.
Did you enjoy your cycling? I will be doing 2 camino's in June. Porto - Santiago & Pamplona - Santiago. I walked the frances in 2018 from St JpdPort, but always wanted to cycle it aswell.

Hi Rian. Do you mind contacting me after your trip. I have walked the frances in 2018 and I am busy planning to cycle the Portuguese rout from Lisbon. I would really like to make contact with you. I am from Cape Town.
