    I'm on the coastal route now. Big crowd in Porto, but then people spread out, taking different route or different pace. Good idea to book ahead for big cities like Porto, Castelo and Vigo. I never had problem getting a bed in smaller towns/villages. Hope it helps. Buen camino.

    Thank you Linda, I will do the same and stay 2 nights in VFX. I'm not aiming to do a lot of KMs neither, better to build the trail legs gradually. My bags are packed and I can't wait to be on the Camino!

    We were pretty lucky with the weather. Usually sunny and warm during the day, and some rain in the late afternoon and night. There are still snow at the top of the mountains, but it’s not cold.

    We are two pilgrims who are locked in at the municipal albergue in La Robla. The dormitory door is locked and we can not go out or to toilet.     Need a pair of trail runner in Leon

    Thanks for all the suggestions. So I ended up getting a pair of La Sportiva Raptor from Corte Igles in Leon. Super comfortable and loads of grip. Very happy! Now back on camino with happy feet!
