Are you planning your (next) camino? Well, I am

Hello. I walked the Frances Sept - Oct '23 and thought that would be enough. But it's the last thing I think about before I go to sleep and now the thoughts are taking a more definate shape. I'd like to walk the Frances again, for all I didn't give attention to before, but I'm also wondering...

Senior Walking the Portuguese Coastal Route in the Rain: Advice Needed

I walked the Camino Frances in very heavy rain at the end of October and as well as changing socks when I could, I slipped my feet into light plastic bags then into my boots. It wasn't perfect but it did delay getting them wet.

LIVE from the Camino 6 days into CF, here are some of my thoughts.

Hi! I envy that you're only on day 6 of your Camino journey! I returned home last Saturday after completing Camino Frances and wonder why I'm here and not there and am having real difficulty settling. So, enjoy every single moment of every single day, hail, rain or snow or anything else that...

    High Vis Vest?

Thank you. I will take mine as it's lightweight, and will take the reflective tape too, and perhaps another pilgrim can share some of the tape.

    High Vis Vest?

And your rucksack, do you just hang a bit off it?

    High Vis Vest?

I did get reflective tape but it's not sticking on rucksack, but would, I'm sure, stick to my poles, so will take this with me, and will try it 'hanging off my pack' instead of trying to stick it on. Thanks!

The dreaded plantar fasciitis - just as I’m about to start…

Hello, that sounds like a plan, then see how it feels, and is what I intend doing. I've been given several foot exercises to do and will try and make time to do them in the hope it doesn't get worse. It's lucky white heather, just when you need your feet to be in the best shape. Good luck...

    High Vis Vest?

HI Just making final rucksack check and wonder if I should take high vis vest as I'll be walking until end of Oct and morning will be dark?

    Thanks all.

I leave for the Camino Frances in a few days and want to thank all those who asked the questions I had in mind and to the knowledgeable and wise replies from those who answered. I've allowed 39 days from SJPdP which, in retrospect may not be enough as I'm an older woman and intend carrying my...

    rucksack labels/passport

Thank you. I know what to do now! My intention is to carry my rucksack and (hopefully) only need it transported from SJPdP/Orisson/Roncesvalles. I know credential must be shown at accommodation but was unsure whether official passport was also required. Thanks for all replies.

    rucksack labels/passport

Thanks all, I'm just trying to organise what goes where and what needs to go in cross body bag for ease of access. I will attach secure tag but also carry some labels with me.

    rucksack labels/passport

Thank you, that's good to know, and I will put name and contact details on rucksack.
