Have been caught out once on the Portuguese and slept with all my clothes...

I have addresses from the Confraternity of St James in London for Puerto Rica...

Hi
Have checked past threads and haven’t seen this topic.
I will resume the VDLP in late April and am having great difficulty trying to sort through the travel logistics. Tried Loco2 and Romeo both of which indicate long and expensive travel options.
I am currently in Bournemouth, UK so...
While walking out of Leon recently we saw a group of about a dozen volunteers from the local Camino Association collecting trash, mainly litter than was not biodegradable. They focused on the section from San Miguel to Villladangos Del Paramo and had collected over a dozen large garbage bags by...

I recently had a day in hospital and the medical staff asked for my medical history and current medications.
As I have virtually no Spanish it was very frustrating for them as they tried to arrive at a diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
I used Google Translate but not the same as having...
Hello to all on the Meseta
I am one of the unfortunate ones who caught this virus and had a day of tests in hospital. Mainly because of my age and prior surgery.
l now OK but need rest. The doctor said it is a seasonal virus and not related to the food or water as many think we’re the causes...
I am looking at a new lighter pair of boots (yes boots as I need the ankle support) and am trying the Hanwag Anisak GTX model.
It has many attractive features including a purposed designed wider area towards the front that corresponds to the part of my that is naturally the widest.
My dilemma...
Today the last stream crossing after Caparra had a central block washed away. It was downstream and the reinforcing rods were sticking up. It must have been a tremendous flow to do this. Still able to cross but the stepping stones on the missing section are not stable.
Later just after the...
Hello
Can anyone tell me if there is a regular service for transporting backpacks on the VDLP from Seville please.
I have a back injury and may need to have some relief on the way.
Thanks and regards

Recently when passing through security at Stansted airport in the UK the way to Porto to walk the Portuguese coastal route we were told we could not take our walking poles onto the aircraft with our backpacks. This was a great surprise as we have travelled in many parts of the world including...
Last year after walking the Portuguese Camino I spent 2 weeks as a volunteer in St Jean Pied De Port at the Acceuil which is the Pilgrim's information centre on the rue de la Citadelle.
After finishing my volunteer commitment I flew from Biarritz to Stansted in the UK and expected an easy...

Hi
I have the Miam Miam Dodo book and also Alison Raju's one on the route from Le Puy and want to reduce unnecessary weight. Does the app on the iPhone work sufficiently well to identify all the paths, crossroads etc to St Jean PP. (assuming I have a French sim card)
Also I see there is a...
