    Help getting lodging past Sarria

Well, then I am not " most people " though I am pretty sure more think like me. I like Finisterre aka Fisterra but I prefer the last hundred kilometers from any Camino entering Santiago. Looking forward to entering via the Camino Sanabres in September.

Paulo Coelho's "The Pilgrimage" to be made into a Netflix movie

IMO it is utter drivel. Shallow content and full of clichés. But of course " de gustibus non est disputandum". There is more literature to find in my collection of Tintin.

Where do ( did ) you walk locally in 2024?

Gronze has a good list of all types of accomodation. https://www.gronze.com/camino-norte Be aware that many coastal towns on the Norte are favourite places for Spaniards themselves. It can be quite busy in summer and tricky to find affordable rooms.

A call for regulation or permit on the Francés

I am merely posting an objective fact. I have no intention at all to talk religion here seeing it is against the forumrules. It beats me why you would put a laughing emoji under my post. But again " De gustibus non est disputandum ".

I hope it is ok that the locals sit on the benches? You know, the ones who pay the taxes in Spain for these benches.

    Compostela: Electric Bikes Excluded?

Exactly! Living in cycling country I see groups of cyclists ( racing bikes and no assistance ) every weekend, some of them obviously with less perfect BMI and they manage really well. Without a doubt they could cycle a Camino and finish it. And could get their Compostela. In general : we do...
