accomodation in holy week

I am arriving in Caceres by bus from Seville next wednesday (19 March - Easter week). I have a feeling that accomodation may be difficult. Can anyone give advice, as I've tried the internet for hostals or Albergues without success with a view to booking online. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong...

hostal LindaMar (formerly Hostal Miraltajo)

I've just had an email from the owners, Linda & Maarten, to say that they are not opening the hostal this year. Does anyone know of any other accomodation nearby that will accept a one night stay in Easter Week? The website for Embalse de Alcantara (nearby) says that they only do 3 night...

Wayside cross above Cee

I've been reviewing some of the 1000 or so photographs I took of my pilgimage last year (ah, the convenience of digital cameras!) and came across one I took of a wayside cross some 100 metres off the route just above Cee. It intruiged me as it was well tended with a paved area around it...

Santiago to Finisterre

Ivar Could we have a forum on the extension route, Santiago to Finisterre. I did it last week, and it was a wonderful experience, well worth the extra three or four day's walking. If nothing else, it provides a fitting sense of closure to one's experiences on the Camino to stand on the rock...
