Traveling from Texas
I did Camino Frances April 2022. Flew from Austin to Madrid (connecting flight in Atlanta). Then train to Pamplona. Then grabbed a taxi van at the train station with 5 other guys to SJPDP. Other pilgrims are happy to split the ride. If I remember correctly we each paid about 22 euros to split...- llospw

I also highly recommend looking at smaller cottage industry gear companies. I have four Gossamer Gear packs (different sizes for different type trips) and love all of them. I used one of them on the Frances and it was perfect (for me). The cottage industry companies are all great at working...- llospw

Rain jacket recommendations
On CF April-May '22 we had a LOT of rain the first 10 days. I used the Packa also and loved it. Worked perfect, especially when the rain was intermittent because you don't have to stop and take your pack on and off.- llospw
