We just returned from the Portuguese Coastal and it is nicer to walk the official Coastal route as the Senda Littoral literally passes everything and has not much of a Camino Vibe. The official route is not well marked and as we were doing business along the way the conversation we had many...
we actually got a bit lost in that section then caught a taxi to search for it... 35 euro later and no marker, so maybe you are correct and there still is none? thanks 🙏🏻
Hi there
I am on the Portuguese Coastal now and have done the interior both from Porto. A girlfriend of mine did from Lisbon and she said it was very quiet hardly a person on it. Maybe Porto to Fisterra? Buen Camino
I am the first to pull up the "real pilgrims" on their obsession with what is a pilgrim, however I 100 % agree with this rule. It is not a cheap holiday option to stay in Albergues it is for those that wish to experience carrying their packs and communal living. Well done I say...
It is said that the second week the mind can takeover and makes walking a struggle then the third week you move past that... Possibly a few nights in private accommodation may help. No need to rush for a bed, some good sleep, and time to rest with no-one around you. Buen Camino don't give up...
