Just a note to highly recommend Casa Gloria in Lourenzá. Very reasonably priced if 2 people sharing with breakfast included. Spotless with excellent bathroom. Washing machine available. 4* experience.- jimsheppard

Long stage with no food and drink
Hi pelegrinos Please be aware that from Villaviciosa to La Carcava there are currently no open shops, Cafes or Restaurants. Bar at La Carcava is the first opportunity to buy food and drink. If you want to avoid 4 to 5 hours without refreshment then buy food in Villaviciosa.- jimsheppard

1. New albergue in Deba is excellent. Book at the tourist information office. The bar opposite does excellent early breakfasts 2. Stage from Markina- Xemein to Guernica is very well waymarked and had a lot of improvements. 3. Can highly recommend restaurante Pitis in Markina- Xemein. Good...- jimsheppard

I have just finished walking the 3rd leg of our camino (Sahagun to Sarria). Unfortunately my camino companion lost his credencial somewhere between Ponferrada and VillaFranca de Bierzo.
