Shoes, shoes and more dreaded shoes.....
Personally I would choose the Hokas as waterproof boots/ shoes take a long time to dry out and if it rains heavy you feet will get wet no matter what you wear- Chiquito

Liner Socks
You could try the Injinji sock liners I have found them very good with a Smartwool sock over top, I also use Vaseline on my feet- Chiquito
