    Hi. I'm getting my credencial all this week, coming in from Bilbao airport. I have confirmed two places they say they can offer the credential, the cathedral de santiago and basilica de begonia.     I"m hiking mostly in Asturias, seaside. Is tenting allowed there.... by trail, or some park/forest areas? Very simple one person tent, and quick jet boil for food, no fires. Experienced packer here. That's just In case an Albergue isn't open....there may be long stretches without albergue or...

    January weather & albergues - Santiago to Bilbao

    January hiker here. Hi, I"m Dan. I'm starting from SAntiago area on Jan. 3 & 2 weeks hiking east. Prefer the coastal strongly, as much as I can. Do most hikers go west to east? That seems to be the case.
