@lt56ny - I have just started wearing a pair of Brooks Cascadia 17s - I really like them and want to wear them for my Camino (Frances) in September. I just wasn’t sure if I should get a second pair, wear both in and send one to myself half way? I read another post where someone swapped into new...
Thanks for posting this! I’m walking the Camino Frances in September, but live in London so this sounds like a super second Camino! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
@Bradypus do you know the regular opening times in September? (Not sure if arriving around 1600 the day before setting off is a bit tight in case of delays if the pilgrim office closes earlier?)
I want to organise a bag sent to santiago for collection, so leaning towards arriving a day earlier...
Years ago i watched The Way, must of been when it hadn't been out very long. I don’t actually remember much of it and haven’t watched it since. But 15/20 mins into that movie, i wanted to walk the Camino, and in September i’m finally going to do it 🥳🤪😄
Can’t say the movie was very memorable...
Thanks Robo and Bradypus! Ok cool, I’m starting in SPJDP, so I may get a second one there and attach it (I really like the idea of collecting the stamps for the memory of the places/stops). Can you also get stamps a private allbergues? And if you stay at a hotel occasionally, is there still...
Hey folks,
I got my credential passport in the post today (Wohoo) looking forward to walking later in the year.

If you walk all the way from SPJDP to Santiago de...
Good point here about alarm clocks - might sound silly but what do people do for wake up alarms? (Ie to have an alarm but not disturb others? I usually have quiet alarms anyway but it could still disturb others - any suggestions?)
Thanks very much, all noted! I am also a gear addict in other areas of my life (musician), so didn't want to go to gear crazy setting out for my first Camino! Will have a look at that Poncho. Cheers, Jaya
Hey tincatinker - thanks so much, great to hear! I'll have to get a new pair of shoes but i'll see what clothes already have that can be useful - cheers!
