Right quad pain, ok to push through or something to be worried about?

This is really helpful, other muscles on body felt a little twitchy. Eating a ton of Bananas today and electrolytes

Right quad pain, ok to push through or something to be worried about?

Yeah, I hear you. It’s just really hard, especially towards latter half of the Norte to find professional advice.

Right quad pain, ok to push through or something to be worried about?

I am about three weeks out on the Norte averaging close to 30 to 35 kms and at this point aside from blisters, I haven’t had a lot of physical issues. I have one week left with a flight booked home and unfortunately don’t have a lot of flexibility. Unless I want to bus through stages which I’d...

Any risk of walking without insoles?

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. There was a lovely shop actually in Llanes, a very small store, but plenty of options to choose from - Tigeuro sport. I sized up on a pair of wide addisas trekking shoes and brought some extra socks to double up if needed

Any risk of walking without insoles?

Ironically, I’ve been buying the same size of shoe from this manufacturer for years and years. It’s just so weird that I’m just realizing that it’s now too small LOL

Any risk of walking without insoles?

Haha, yeah. Blisters just seem less cas yeah, i was thinking about that too, i mean im sure my decathlon brand trekking sandal would be like a quantum leap from what the original pilgrims wore, but i was also thinking that your body and feet might need a lot of time to build that strength and...

Any risk of walking without insoles?

I’ve been on Camino Norte for about eight days averaging around 30 to 35 km. I’ve gotten some blisters on the sides of my feet mostly the pinky toes and one on my big toe. I just came to the revelation that my shoes might be too small 🤦‍♂️. I actually wore these after buying them last month in...

LIVE from the Camino Feels Unpleasantly Busy on the Camino Frances (May Day, 2024)

Thank your for this. I think I like the idea of pushing myself physically and experience some of the local basque culture first and then secondly, I’d love to meet some folks and have some great communal experiences. But most importantly I don’t want to fell like I have to be booking stuff to...

LIVE from the Camino Feels Unpleasantly Busy on the Camino Frances (May Day, 2024)

I think I have just been swayed by many of the posts that say if it’s your first one or you’re only one then the Camino Francis is the most traditional Camino experience. I do like the idea of the more communal experience, but to be honest, the first three or four days in the north they have...

LIVE from the Camino Feels Unpleasantly Busy on the Camino Frances (May Day, 2024)

I had originally planned to the CF, as it’s my first Camino. I read the all the post about the first stages being horribly over booked, so starting on Wednesday I decided to change to Norte at the last minute since I flew into Biarritz. It’s been nice, I’m loving the food and the seaside towns...
