Hi walkers! So much divergent info about open albergues in the Camino Norte from October on. Some pilgrims have been able to walk the whole distance only sleeping in albergues, others say they would have to stay in private accomodations. I guess it will depend a bit on how long etapas one walks...
And, on the other hand, you are not sure if you want to break out of a relation, walk the Camino with your partner, and you will soon know what to do....
Met a wonderful woman in the albergue in Logrono in July 2011. We walked the rest of the Way to Santiago together. Sweet music. She decided to move in with me in my country. We walked Sevilla-Santiago-Finisterre this spring. Difficult to hide questionable personality traits during hard walks...
Be aware about 2 kms before arriving to alcuescar, just after passing saint john's cross. A hostel-owner with belief in private initiative has painted over (with yellow paint!) arrows pointing to the refugio and instead made arrows pointing to his hostal, a deviation of 3k and pricy. Keep right...
