I bought mine (a soaker) from the website - Dr. Deb The Travel Doctor - www.thetraveldoctor.com.au/. I soaked my sleep liner and pj's - not one bite so maybe it works really well.
I have bought some permethrin soak here in Aus and plan to spray my pack and soak my sleep gear before I leave. I would like to buy a spray when I get to Spain for 'just in case'. Will I be able to find one in Pamplona do you think? Thanks for any info.
Flying out of Sydney tomorrow week then spending one night in Madrid, two in Pamplona before starting my Camino from Logrono on the 6th. Very exciting. All the best to you all out there and looking forward to meeting some of you along the way. Buen Camino!

What a wonderful idea and thanks so much for sharing. I leave in just over two weeks, had planned th de-bug my sleep liner and sleeping gear but the thought of being able to keep my backpack safe is just perfect. Off to the $2.- shop I go.
I am hoping that someone out there can help me - I have wasted hours and hours trying to work out how best to get from Sarria to Madrid at the end of my Camino in September. It is a very frustrating process - neither renfe nor petrabax have given me any answers - anyone able to assist? My...
Ros I agree with you re Eslava in Pamplona. I stayed there in 2013 and have booked two nights in September this year. I loved the location so much I just have to repeat! I also have a night booked in Norte y Londres and therefore great to read your praise of this establishment. Though I plan...
Hi from Sydney - I will be spending two nights in Pamplona before starting my Camino from Logrono on 6th September. I will be walking with two of my brothers and one sister-in-law. Looking forward to meeting many of you on the way! Enjoy the anticipation!
I will keep an eye out for you Rachel. I have a turquoise Kathmandu backpack and will have my Camino Forum and Australian Pilgrims badges pinned on. September will be here in the blink of an eye! Enjoy all the preparation and anticipation in the meantime!
Rachel I will be starting from Logrono on the 6th Sept so may well get to meet you and your Dad. How lovely to be able to celebrate his 70th this way. I am in Sydney and looking forward like crazy to everything (except that looooong flight!)
Hi Molly 1952 - I hope to meet you somewhere along the way. I am meeting up with 2 of my brothers plus one sister-in-law in Logrono on 5th September. We will leave on the morning of the 6th. Maybe see you out there. I see you are from Ireland and am curious about your koala picture. Are you...
I will be back in September to complete my 2013 Camino when I walked Roncesvalles to Logrono, Astorga to Santiago. I had to leave out a section because I didn't have enough time to do it all in one go. My plan this year is to fly Sydney to Madrid, train to Pamplona (which I loved and am keen...
Hello there pilgrims present, past and future. I walked Roncesvalles to Logrono, Astorga to Santiago in September/October 2013. I will be heading back September 2015 hoping to have enough time to walk Pamplona to Sarria. Looking forward to meeting many of you forum members on the Way and...
Hi Katia - I spent a night in Pamplona last September and stayed in the Hotel Eslava (booking.com). It was sort of quaint but very close to the old city where there are many lovely places to eat and wander. I was lucky enough to be there on a Saturday and in the late afternoon the streets...
Hi Helen - I ended my first week of the Camino Frances in Logrono in September and wanted to resume in Astorga due to time constraints. I found it easiest to take a bus back to Pamplona and then a train which went to Astorga via Burgos and Leon. I arrived in Astorga about 1700 if memory...
