Hi Annie & Jen. I too have booked my train ticket (and printed it out at home) from Paris to Bayonne on Sunday 22nd September and will stay the night there before catching the train to SJPDP on Monday. Not sure what will be open in Bayonne on a Sunday. Very excited as departure day draws...
Hi Trevor & Annie.
I will be arriving in Paris on Sunday morning 22nd September from Brisbane. At present I hope to be able to book train from Charles De Gaulle Airport train station to Bayonne train station and then a connecting train to St Jean Pied de Port all on that Sunday. If not...
Hi Jennifer,
I live on the Gold Coast and will be flying out of Brisbane to Paris on 21st September. Sounds like there will be quite a few Aussies on the way Sept/Oct. Cheers to All!
Hi Jennifer, Alex & Bama.
I am another Aussie who will be on the path leaving SJDPP on September 24 and arriving on October 23 in Santiago. I will be travelling alone (even though I do realise that you are never alone on the way) and looking forward to meeting whoever will be travelling at...
Hi Rebell 36 & Jan. Great to know there will be other Aussies starting the Camino journey around the same time I am. Have either of you booked the train from Paris to Bayonne? At present doing a little research on which train and where to catch it from. Any ideas?
I am in the process of planning my camino and was fairly sure, after much googling, that you can catch a train direct to Bayonne from Paris and then the mountain train to SJPDP. Is this an option?
Hello SandiF. Yes may see you along the way. This is also my first Camino and doing it alone. Turning 60 in October. The excitement is outweighing the apprehension for me. Also hoping to make freinds during my camino. Cheers!
I am planning on starting my journey from SJPP on 24th Sept. Have booked flights from Brisbane to Paris, and looking forward to meeting with other pilgrims along the way.
