We also just finished our first Camino Nov 4 in Santiago. I agree that it was a perfect time to walk. I didn't like the dark mornings - we actually mistook a cow for a large rock, until it moved. I like to see what I am passing!
And we did treat our sleeping bags and packs with some awful...
I also love these statues - we saw the pilgrim fighting the wind in October 2015 - a very cold and windy day!
Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a miniature of any of these?
We hope to see you on the way - we are leaving SJPD on Sep 30 also but going the Valcarlos route, so we will most likely meet up in Roncevalles. We are also getting very excited as our countdown is now 9 days!!
CJGoct15-
We will be starting our Camino on Sep 30 in SJPDP, planning to go the Valcarlos route, and arriving in Roncevalles Oct 1. So we should see you there.

CathyJ-
My daughter used Viber to communicate with her friends when they were all in different countries for their study abroad semester. I planned to use this to communicate with my family at home. I just wanted something to text on wifi - and maybe an occasional call (especially when my...
mspath- Thank you for the information about the Valcarlos route - we are now planning to take it for the history and feel much better about leaving later in the morning from St Jean.
AlbertaGirl and NiniSum - you will be our walking partners starting on September 30! Can't wait to meet our fellow pilgrims. This is our first Camino so I am happy to see at least one veteran.
Have you made reservations at Orisson, or are you planning to go for Roncevalles? (Moral support would...
Do you have to have a reservation at Orisson? We are hoping to make it to Roncevalles, but since it will be our first day, we thought we could decide after arriving at Orisson?
We are planning to land in Paris September 28, and travel through Bayonne to SJpDP - should we expect to take a bus tto SJpDP in September? MSPATH's link above is not working.
Thanks for this information. We won't arrive in Santiago until November - is there any English Mass then? (We were expecting to go to the noon Pilgrim Mass in Spanish anyway, but just checking.)
Welcome home to our beautiful Church! I would LOVE to start our Camino in Lourdes if it were possible - but not sure I could afford the extra day or 2 required.
