Thank you, the main reason for going to Braga is Bom Jesus do Monte, and thank you for suggesting me to see the Cathedral as well. Yes, I look forward to Casa da Fernanda! Takk og ha det bra!
And I will be the 'young' Norwegian who just turned 70 trotting around, but only from Porto to Santiago. I will start April 4th from here and spend 4 days in the Train before I can start on April 9th. Will let the weather decide, but I would very much like to take at least the first day to Vila...
Well, I am a senior as well, just turned 70, and plan to walk not more then 20 kms a day. Have a good Camino all of you. I should hopefully be in Santiago by the time you start out from Porto.
And I will start my second camino on april 9. Also from Porto, plan to go on the coast the first 2 days if weather is good and then join the Central at Barcelos. I am sure it will be a wonderful Camino!
Hi, I am also a bit uncertain. I am starting from Porto around April 11, thought of spending at least 1 night in Porto, then start slowly by walking to Matosinhos and spend 1 night, then continue to Vila do Conde, spend the night, then continue to Esposende, 1 night. From there I would like to...
I start from Porto 12.5. Consider walking to Vila do Conde along the coast. Stay overnight there and then join walk inland and join the Central around Arcos. I am 70 years, fit, like to walk alone but appreciate to see other pilgrims on the Camino. I like walking distances of about 20 km per...
I agree, I did this myself. Had to stop in Leon since my husband was very ill. He died end of last year and now I will hopefully soon finish the rest from Leon to Santiago.
You should go alone! I also lost my husband recently and start walking mid May. Show these answers to Your sister an she will understand. The Camino is different, you are not alone. Best wishes!
I start walking from Leon the day before so we might meet. I am an 'elderly' (60+) Norwegian 'lady'. Plan to just walk about 20 kms a day. Have walked Roncevalles - Leon in 2007, but then in October. Ciao, Hilde
I arrive by Train in Irun in the morning on May 14th and want to travel to Leon, by bus or train? Have finished Roncevalles - Leon earlier. Should I og by bus or by Train?? Thank you. Hilde
