    Accommodation on Le Puy route

Here's the link to Rob Forrester's group https://www.facebook.com/groups/ViaPodiensis Also a good way to meet others walking that day is to attend the pilgrim blessing in the Cathedral there. It is daily at 7 am.

Yes the Poste Restante is still available in France https://www.laposte.fr/conseils-pratiques/recevoir-ses-courriers-et-colis-dans-le-bureau-de-poste-de-son-choix

Aragon government plan to build albergue at Somport

Personnaly, I would have liked something between Sangüesa and Monreal. At least there is the Albergue Alsa at Somport.

English Language Guide for the Vézelay?

Here's a link to the download page for the Dutch guide in English. There is one for route information and a separate one for lodging https://www.santiago.nl/downloads/#gids-vezelay

Aragon government plan to build albergue at Somport

Hmmm... I'm of mixed feelings. The Aragones is one of the best-kept secrets among the Spanish camino routes... :D

    GR653 VS Via Carcassone

I've walked the GR653 from Arles and had no problem with lodging (with a little planning across the Parc naturel régional du Haut Languedoc) to keep my distances short. Food could be a bit challenging without planning and I always took the demi-pension whenever it was offered becauses of this. I...

    Lost & Found Passport found

I would think the likelihood of the person even knowing about this forum is very slim. The finder should take it to the local police station and maybe they can contact the consulate.

    Lost & Found Passport found

This probably should be taken to the nearest local police station, if not issuing country's consulate.

    Lightweight backpack for petite female

I have this backpack as well which I used for several years but if you have a really short torso, the XS/S adjustable Gregorys are really much better. That is the very reason I switched. I have osteoporosis and have lost 3" in the torso.

    Lightweight backpack for petite female

My Gregory Maven 35 XS/S has an adjustable back which I found very helpful in getting the right length for my very short torso. I don't know if this is an option on any of the ones you have looked at [It is also available on the Gregory Jade] but if you are short-waisted, it might be a game changer.

Is there a shuttle bus from CDG Paris airport to Montparnasse train station?

I don't believe this still exists. Covid did a lot of these shared-ride options in. The Bus Direct contact information says "No service anymore." RoissyBus still exists but doesn't go to Montparnasse.

Is there a shuttle bus from CDG Paris airport to Montparnasse train station?

You can take the RER [train] from the CDG airport terminal 2 to the St Michel stop, change to Metro line 4 [direction Bagneux Lucie Aubrac] and take that to Montparnasse Bienvenüe [Montparnasse train station].

Arles to Puente-la-Reina: May to mid-June or September to mid- October?

Of course every year is different, but I walked last September from Pau to Sangüesa via Somport (Arles/Aragones) and the weather was glorious. It poured on the way to Lescar, but after that I had no real rain at all and it wasn't terribly hot. The narrow ridge above the Gave d'Aspe before and...

    Urdos to Somport Advice

Before Urdos, I understand that a landslide has swept away part of the path at Matabou, in the commune of Cette-Eygun [halfway between Accous and Borce] and that the GR653 is closed at Cette-Eygun as work is now in progress there. In the meantime, a detour via the RN 134 has been set up.

Public transport and the Aragones Route: Need advice

I took a taxi from the pilgrim gîte in Jaca [Albergue de peregrinos de Jaca], because the bus wasn't running, but found others there to share it with. The pilgrim gîte in Santa Cilia [Albergue de peregrinos de Santa Cilia] is lovely and they will allow you to stay two days, if you wish, in order...
