Danny,
My dad and I are also spending the day in SJPP on the 15th before we begin walking on the 16th! We'll be staying in Beilari. Hope to meet you!
And yeah, these last minute details are overwhelming to me too. Looking forward to some simplicity. :)
Beth
Liz, my dad and I are just a day or two behind you! We land in Madrid 9/14, taking the bust to Pamplona, and also getting picked up by Istvan! Spending a day in St Jean though, so we won't actually start from there til the 16th. I hope we all run into each other! :) Buen Camino!
I'm excited to see so many folks starting their Camino at the same time as my dad and I! Leaving Orlando on September 13, arriving Madrid the 14th, staying at Pension Corazon Puro in Pamplona the night of the 14th, arriving in St Jean early the morning of the 15th, staying at (hopefully)...
Hi everybody! My dad and I purchased our plane tickets to Madrid today! Aaah! Our walk will begin from St. Jean on September 16 and we're also reserved at Orisson that night. I can't wait to meet some of you all there! :)
Hi! My dad and I haven't solidified dates yet, but we're planning on a September/October 2016 Camino Frances. I'm really excited about the possibility of getting to know some folks who will be there with us! Thanks for starting the thread. :)
It is really all I think about! When I drive to work, I think about walking it. When I see people on the roadside, I think of them as pilgrims. When I'm sweating at my daughter's band practice, I think about how it's good practice for the Camino.
I imagine one day I'll be thinking about things...
I bet I know that little town! I grew up in Perry, and now I'm in Central Florida, so I drive through Ocala quite a bit. :)
Everyone here is so helpful - It feels nice to have a place where I can talk about it without people thinking I'm weird.
Hi! I'm Beth from Florida and am planning for a September 2016 Camino. I'm flipped out excited about it and wish I could leave tomorrow -- but I know I must train and save (blah blah) to get there. Here's my question - Has anyone else come across strange reactions from loved ones about embarking...
Hi! This is doubling as my intro to the forum. I'm planning to walk the Camino Frances in September 2016! I can't get enough information! Like Daisley, I feel as if my Camino has already begun. So excited to learn from the folks here!
