Well after a lot of thinking I've decided to call it quits. This is not turning out to be "my" Camino so I'm gonna take the train to Santiago. Enjoy a few days in that wonderful town, visit a few friends and then head home to save up for a VdlP instead. I feel content with my decision. Thank you...
I walked the CF in May/June, July, October, and now November. I just have the feeling that this time a year maybe draw a certain kind of crowd? Had I known what I know now I would've done a full winter Camino in February.
Yes I meant Astorga. Haha! My phone is doing the auto-misspell. ;) English isn't my first language either so sometimes my sentences turn out a little bit funny.
I did the CF October last year and it was wonderful. That is why I'm so confused and sad right now. I wasn't planning on doing it again so soon. But my job had my stress-levels riding super high. So when I got a chance to take some time off, I thought this would help me heal.
I'm having one right now. This whole Camino has been horrible from the start. Other pilgrims are really unfriendly, and there is a very strong "holier than thou" mentality from some, while others are just doing drugs, screwing and picking fights with everyone. Had the rudest encounter ever with...
The thing is that I have to wait in my pack in SJPdP or they'll just send all of it home. Right now I only have one pair of socks, undies and clothes. No backpack. Nothing. And I'm not in a position where I just have money to buy new stuff either. Looks like this Camino might be over even...
... I have never gone by plane to the Camino(always by train). Mostly out of fear that my bag would get lost. But this time I decided that I would brave it and check in that bag. And now here I am... On the bus to Bayonne. No backpack was to be found upon my arrival in Bilbao. So I'm a little...
When I've taken the train to Bayonne I had to change in Lyon or Bordeaux and it was a rather long trip. At one time I took the train from Gare de Austerlitz (hahaha spelling??) and another time from Gare de Montparnasse. Never directly from CDG. Whising you good luck and great travels.
@Sandra S It's "only" my fourth Camino. But I'm from Sweden and I've done a lot of hiking here up north. I'm probably gonna do the Camino cleanup late November so maybe you'll see me in the trail somewhere between Burgos and Leon between the 28:th of November and the 3:d of December. :)
I'm probably going to start from SJPP on the 3:d or 4:th of November. It will be my 4:th CF and my 10:th winter hike (although I must say that this will be my first winter hike where snow shoes or skies aren't necessary. Hahaha!). :)
Hi
The road is calling yet again. So even though I wasn't planning on doing a camino this year... Well... Now there are plans. ;)
So am I going to be all alone or are there any other peregrinos out there that is up for a November camino? I'm thinking about doing the CF for familiarity, but if...
Sounds great!!! The Camino has provided for me so many times, now I feel like I want to provide for the Camino and all my future pilgrim brothers and sisters. :)
I'm from Sweden so the whole thing with keeping nature clean and recycling is in my blood. Hehehe! :D
If we weren't able to keep our...
