To get to Covas from Ferrol there is a bus at 7.20 in the morning from Rua Igrexa

You get off in Covas outside a cafe where you can get a stamp and the old albergue is not far behind the cafe where the camino used to start. Bring food and water as there isn't...
I've given up on the wise pilgrim apps, I've paid for the Portuguese, Primitivo, Inglese and the North. Even though I contacted them regarding the problems I was ignored, the Portuguese they said they'd fixed the problems and straight after the update it didn't work and took them months to fix...
Sorry if this is late but I've only just spotted it, after walking to Santiago I got the bus out to Ferrol and walked the Inglese, I then took the bus to Oviedo and walked back on the Primitivo.
The wild camping is easy if you're discreet, pitch up late off the track and pack up early, people...
Hi
Is anyone finishing around September 17th that wants to get rid of a set of walking poles instead of checking them in their luggage, I should be finishing the Portuguese about that time and I have a friend meeting me to walk the Inglese that is looking for a set of trekking poles.
Hi jerby
It's not an easy route as it's not really the official route that I'm taking, as for albergues there isn't any along the coast. I'm sure if you want there are plenty of small guesthouses and hotels as you pass through quite a lot of small tourist resorts. Personally I'm wild camping as...
Thanks
That looks like the one, I couldn't find it anywhere, I thought it was on the stretch between Lisbon and Porto along the coast but it's after Porto. It'll be a while before I get there
Hi
I'm currently walking from Lisbon around the coast and I'm near Catribana. I may be wrong but I read about some cheap huts for pilgrim's on a campsite along this route. I've searched the forum and can't find anything, am I dreaming or do they exist.
I've got a sea to summit traveller tr1 which I took on my Camino. If you like the revelation quilt there is a Chinese copy on AliExpress for around 90 dollars called an Aegismax that is really good. The biggest difference apart from being a third of the price are the baffles are sewn through...
I've had a look around and found the easiest way to Ferrol from Santiago is by monobus. I can't find any information in getting to Covas from Ferrol, can anyone tell me if there's a local bus that goes there fairly regularly or do you have to get a taxi or failing that walk out to walk back.
I don't think so as I have one of the fastest phones and lots of free memory. It is possible that there is a conflict with already installed apps but finding which one is practicality impossible, they just don't work on my phone
Just a heads up, bought both the wise pilgrim apps for the Inglés and Primitivo and they both keep crashing on the accommodation pages so not worth the money
Thanks for your replies, I'm looking for an ebook as I'm planning walking the Portuguese then the Primitivo followed by the Inglés this summer and weight is a big factor of carrying paper. Ebooks are great because I'll have my phone with me anyway and they don't weigh anything. Only stipulation...
Hi
Looking for advice on ebook guides to the primitivo and inglese, I bought the 2 CSJ kindle guides to the Portuguese a couple of weeks ago and was looking for different guides to the primitivo and inglese as not impressed with the layout of the CSJ guides on kindle. I also just found out that...
I've messed about with the various gps routes that I've found on the different caminos between Lisbon and Santiago and taken the bits that I think would work for me. It's added in extra straight bits that I don't know how to get rid of in the middle of the route but you can still tell the route...
Thanks for that, looking at the map I was planning on heading east around there and following the path at the Rio da Cal and picking up the camino du mar at Caldas da Rainha.
