Hello folks,
splendid morning up here in the north. i'm flying into pau on 25th April and was hoping to go directly from there to Stjpp. My flight gets in at 16:10, and the last train is at roughly the same time, so no chance of getting it. Does anyone know if there are buses. I'd like to get...
have you looked at the berghaus freeflows? they do a 35+8 litres that I'm thinking of buying. the freeflow system looks like it'd be really good on hot days to avoid sweaty back syndrome, they're reasonable light (1.2kg), incredibly comfy, but a bit pricey compared to others on the market.
Nice one Kanga. Very encouraging words for somebody who's already taken his shoes back once, is considering taking the second pair back, has spent 45 pounds on socks and still hasn't got around to buying the rucksack. I was really concerned about taking the tropical bag - it's only one season...
cheers matey. much to think about. i'm getting a bit annoyed at myself - i can't choose shoes til i choose socks as i need to be wearing the socks i intend to use when i'm trying on the shoes. can't decide on the socks tho. it's all a bit silly, and meanwhile the 'breaking in' time is getting...
cheers guys. i checked out the transcantabrian and it looks like exactly what i wanted. except for the 3000 euros bit  porto's looking like a good option. perhaps i'll walk... perhaps not. i really fancied doing the rail route along the north coast, but tho there's lot's of airports...
that's useful stuff Kanga. i noticed you didn't bother with a sleeping bag. do you think i'd be okay going at the end of april with a tropical sleeping bag (don't have actual temp. spec. but it's certainly no more than 2 seasons), and perhaps a liner to go inside? i was worried i might need 3...
Hello,
Just read a thread below about the difficulties in choosing the right kit for our blessed little feet. I've put this question on the Camino Frances forum, which was a mistake, but i shall ask it here anyhoo - anyone know about these Sealskinz socks? they're £20 per pair and are like...
hello,
after completing my camino i've got to fly back to blighty, but as i need to get back up north (liverpool or manchester), and the direct flights from santiago are quite expensive (I think), I was considering taking a train ride through spain to an airport that is less dependent on...
Hello Folks,
I'm flying into Pau on 25th April and turning my feet to the West for a Camino adventure. Can't wait. Having looked through the entries here, I've got a few questions that I haven't been able to rummage out answers for. If anyone can help with any of them (not necessary all of...
