One of our group had a fall in Porto at the start of our walk. An ambulance was called, she was treated in a local hospital in Porto then joined us that evening. She was stitched up she managed and gradually recovered. We walked to Valenca where she spotted a hospital. So she popped into the...
We used that same flight.
Booked a suitable (late arrival) hotel via Booking.com and also booked a taxi via them.
Worth doing but we were a group 3.
4th member arrived earlier.
Definitely get a stamp at Lires. We had a delightful night stop there. Because we walked onto Muxia on the Sunday and had to catch a bus to SdeC that evening we didn't stay at a Muxia albergue. We asked for the certificate at a couple of albergues but for various reasons they couldn't issue the...
Agree with all the comments above.
However you can get certificates at Finistere and Muxia just for having walked those sections. Apply to the local tourist offices at each town. Of course you need credentials plus all the sellos.
Buen camino
Our hotel was also booked via Booking.com for that night then Booking.com suggested we might like to book a taxi. No discount , I think we paid 37€ between 3 of us. Well worth every cent. On the return journey to the airport it was mid afternoon and we used the excellent bus to the airport. 1€...
We arrived on a late flight from UK.
Booked our taxi through Booking.com the driver had our flt details, had contact with us via WhatsApp I think and everything worked really well. Pretty quick picking up luggage, getting through passport / customs etc
Santiago, Negreira, Cee, Finistère , Lires and end at Muxia.
Certificates can be collected at Finistère and Muxia.
A lovely 7 day walk.
Bus back to Santiago

I did the same and first set out with Lidl rucksack and shoes. Over the years I invested in better shoes that suit my feet and an Osprey rucksack that fits me.
Agree with the others, fast drying, light clothing is best. Look at Berghaus and Rohan on-line Sales.
Baztan 4 was our group. We hardly met another pilgrim, we didn't book any accommodation in advance, apart from phoning Andy la source at Espilette a few hrs beforehand, that was in 2018.
Walk from Porto to
Matosinhos follow the river to the sea. Stay the night there. Lovely fish grill restaurants . Fao is a dear little town.
Staying with Fernanda is a joy. Ponte de Lima is a great place.
The Espiritual is great, take your time there and enjoy the boat ride.
Padron is full...
You could drive to the Portuguees / Spanish border, drop off the car in Portugal. Cross into Spain by taxi then use a Spanish car hire.
Assume you're still young enough to be eligible for car hire. Over 75s this isn't possible.
70 is quite young! IMHO!!!
I'm a good few years past that and same age friends and I are still tramping along various caminos
Just keep on going at your own pace. Great for body and mind.
