I trained and then wore a new pair of Altra Lone Peaks for my Norte Camino. No blisters, and no foot issues. The soles were pretty smooth at the end, but still wearable.
I walked the Norte in the Fall with a Stratos 36L. It weighed 18 pounds including water. I found it very comfortable. After the first couple of days, I didn't even think about it as weight. I didn't carry a sleeping bag; just a liner. I don't recall an albergue without a blanket. I highly...
Agreed. And if I had the choice of times, I'd choose September. I started from Irun on September 10, 2019, and the weather was almost perfect. A little rain in Galicia, of course.
I finished up the Norte on October 25 of 2019. In 40 days of walking, I had very little rain (none lasted more than a couple of hours), UNTIL I got to Galicia. The last 3 or 4 days were pretty wet, all day. But never very heavy. I actually enjoyed it.

At the end, the lugs were almost gone, but the rest of the material help up well. More importantly, I didn't get...
Obviously, it is hard to predict the future. Looking at the trends through July of this year, it looks like this year is similar to past (non-Covid) years.
I can tell you that I walked the Norte from Irun to Santiago in 2019, starting on September 11 and finishing on October 15. It was a...
There are a few spots where the trail has some significant rocky outcropping. But nothing that one would consider to be rock climbing. And you will certainly not have to get close to "the edge" unless you choose to.
