Hi
I walked my first Camino, CF, in September 2023. I used an “outfitter”. They planned my itinerary, booked my hotels and arranged my luggage transfers. They would have included all meals but I opted out of most meals. As a single female traveling alone I never felt at risk but this...
I had the same experienc. Sent in my renewal around thanksgiving and received it back in less than 2 weeks. I used the online application which generated a nar code for the application which assume helped to speed the process along.
I am a 62 year old single female traveler with lots of solo and unplanned trips under my wings but never anything like the camino. I am currently walking. I have met many fellow solo females as well as couples and single male travelers. Meeting people will not be the issue. I’ve needed to learn...
Just an reminder/FYI - COVID is out there. I came up COVID + one day out of Burgos. I was fortunate to be able to double back to Burgos and get a hotel room to hunker down in for 5 days which is what I understand to be the correct COVID precautions. I will rejoin the camino just outside of Leon...
Thanks still working on using this forum. I e left the poles with the reception desk at the hotel Rey Sancho. On the Camino in Navarette just past the church. I hope the owner finds them.
Thanks so much this is very helpful! I was able to get into a church today and am going to try the 645 trick today. Appreciate the insight to tipping as well.
Thanks I was able to get in around mass time. I’d didn’t feel like they were actually holding mass. Signage indicated it opened at 530 but was closer to 7 when it actually opened.
Hi I started walking from Pamplona on Tuesday. I arrived Arco today. Seeking insights please. I’ve been trying to into the churches and for the most part they are closed. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
I’m starting in Sept but ending in late October am planning on 45 days. Puffy coat and gloves are for end of trip if weather turns cold. JIC. I am very unhappy when I’m cold so I want to be prepared.
I will be using them in September. They have been very responsive to date. I understand many participants on this forum frown on assistance. I appreciate the trade off of flexibility/spontaneity for preplanned. However, for me preplanning will take away the daily angst I would experience...
Good Morning…I’ll be starting the Frances route from Pamplona beginning Sept 11. I’m planning on 45 days to arrive in Santiago. I’ll be using a luggage transfer service but will be carrying a day pack. I’m trying to figure out what i need to carry each day. Thinking I won’t need my fleece or...
I just received a quote from them 7-10 days ago. Here is the contact info from that quote. Do let us know how it works out. Good luck’s
