A good choice, I think. I had two clips (one on the left strap of my backpack, the other as a backup). The clip was an absolute necessity for my two-camera, two-lens kit that I used heavily during a 3-month camino a couple of years ago. Hope it works well for you.
This is a wonderful thread and it brings back many fond memories!
In late-March to mid-April of 2022 I walked the Mozarabe from Almeria to Merida and I concur with much of what Damien has shared.
Nely is simply a Camino Angel and I have mentioned her acts of kindness in a couple of other posts...
Wonderful photos and presentation. Your video brings back some fond memories of my San Salvador back in the Spring of 2022. The whole stretch from Pola de Gordon to Pajares was simply magical. However, I remember getting lost for ~30 mins as I took the "wrong" turn at the camino marker "split"...
I will add my 2 cents worth regarding the Mozarabe.
I walked from Almeria to Merida in the Spring of 2022. I would concur with what has already been written regarding the Mozarabe "association" and their incredible commitment to the pilgrims passing through as well as the time and effort...
The Mozarabe does fit this description although (as already stated) "wild" might mean different things to different people. The stretch between Almeria and Granada where you skirt around the Sierra Nevada mountains was, for me, the most magical part. Attached are several photos I made during my...
The famous french street and documentary photographer, Edouard Boubat, is quoted as saying something like, "If you go through life with your head up, and your heart and eyes open, there is a gift waiting for you at the corner of every street". I've always liked that statement and it speaks to...
Your set-up sounds perfect.
I guess the camera kit I've used is not for the faint of heart but, for me, it has worked well.
It's like anything in life, I don't know how many more Caminos I've still got in me but one of the great joys for me (and a true means of expression) is to be able to...
Good day, everyone. Sorry, late to the party. I will add this to the conversation and (if anyone is still reading this thread) perhaps someone will find the information useful.
Last Spring, I walked the Camino Mozarabe, San Salvador, and the Chemin du Piémont (3 months in total; ~750 miles...
I'm planning to start the Mozarabe from Almeria to Merida this March. I've yet to reach out to the Association, but I've read so many positive things about them, the support they offer peregrinos, and their efforts to build and maintain the infrastructure along this route. I'm hopeful for an...
Oh, very nice! Brings back some memories. I noticed you're from Abington? That's my place of birth. Grew up in Elkins Park. Thanks for sharing your photos; I've enjoyed seeing them very much! Have a great day.
Pennypack trail is great. I grew up near Huntington Valley and we kids would ride our bikes to Lorimer Park and walk along the train tracks (when there were train tracks). There use to be a small area, Camp Melmar, that was used by the local Boy Scout Council where we would camp and have various...
Hello Everyone! Happy New Year to everyone!! I am new to the Forum (thank you, Ivar, for taking me in!). I am very excited to continue walking Caminos (probably early to mid 2022 at this rate; planning to do parts of the Voie du Piémont, C. Aragones, and C. Francés, but this may change depending...
