Yes, I saw the website, that's why I was thinking there are more resources for starting in Almeria. I have opened a bunch of threads, combing through them now.
Thank you. I can't check out their Fb page now (I block social media on my computer) but it seems that Almeria is a more convenient starting point? I will look into it.
Hi all, I am thinking of doing the Mozarabe between Malaga and Cordoba this February or March. I prefer to do around 20km a day, or even less sometimes, and would prefer to stay in albergues rather than rely on casas rurales. I checked the gronze to see what accommodation would be available...
Your whole post has been minimizing and then you conclude with "without minimizing...". Too many men who have absolutely no clue what they're talking about feel entitled to comment on these threads.
Buying a bike could be a really good idea actually. But in Switzerland I'd want a hydrid I think and it seems that for the camino people recommend mountain bikes. Is that what you used?
I haven't figured out what I'm doing yet but actually met someone who was very excited about this option so we did a bit of research. I will post an update later but for now i can say it seems that prices range from 15-30 a day and the drop off fee is about 25. Though the cheaper option i found...
Yes, I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of this. There are lots of bike rental places there. I'm going to see in the morning bc i did find one that can deliver, as well as a cheaper one that won't have anything until next week.
Thanks! I actually speak Spanish and asked the owner of the albergue, he said he knows this service exists but didn’t know anything about it. I did just call a service but need to call back in a bit. We‘ll see if they’re able to send something quickly.
Hi there, I am now in Castrojeriz in the Meseta. My feet are killing me, every step today was excruciating. I am also having some pain in my ankle where I sprained it a while back. I was telling someone that I was thinking of renting a bike once I get to Leon, since I didn’t do it in Burgos, and...
Are you particularly attached to doing the camino or do you just want to hike in Spain? If it's the latter, perhaps you could rent a studio somewhere rural with nice trails and just hike everyday without the stress of different starting points.
Thank you so much! Super helpful. I've ordered the book but to my address in Europe, now I'm in the US so I haven't been able to look yet. It seems that Pont sur le Fier is a bridge in Motz? Do you remember where you stayed there?
Hi there, late to this thread but if possible, I'd love to see your stages between Geneva and Le Puy. I am doing that route soon and prefer shorter stages.
I'm preparing to walk Via Gebennensis starting in Desingy soon. I am thinking of starting the first 2-3 days VERY slow, like 10 km or max 15 a day. So maybe first day just walk to Seyssel, which is short and good because I am starting in the afternoon. But 2nd day, I am seeing Seysell - Chanaz...
I would like to do this route next month (starting near Seysell). Is there somewhere I can find a list of campgrounds, or alternatively, do you have any recommendations? Thank you.
