Hi,, I started from Malaga,, and walked to Junta de los Caminos for my first day,, nothing special but also perfectly OK,, and for tracks!!
Mapys, cz is the perfect app,,, it's free,,, has nearly every walking track,, Camino already on it,,, and can also download the map of wherever,, so then...
Of course if you do not want your photos and details posted,,, you only have to tell them!!
And IMHO the organisation of the Almeria to Granada portion of the Camino Mozarabe is the best of all!!
If you start at Almeria the Camino Association there is fantastic ,and is 9 stages to Granada and they have donativo Albergues all the way now,,, the signs are all there and they publish their
own PDF guide too,, was a fantastic way and is getting busier and I think absolutely no problem...
so totally different from the Camino Frances ,,,if you start in Almeria ,,,you need to check out the "Camino Mozarabe de Santiago de Almeria to Granada" ,,,they have a online guide which is updated every month,, all the info is there ,,,but it can be a quite solitary Camino ,,, often only one...
I would definitely recommend the Almeria to Granada section of the Mozarabe ,,,and the Association that takes care of that is fantastic ,,, great little albergues ,,,great personal touches from the people involved ,, strange and wonderful scenery ,,, so far my favourite !!! and also very quiet...
walking alongside of the Sierra Nevada last March had cold headwinds straight off the snow ,,,and even some flurries of snow on 2 days ,,, but a beautiful Camino,,, tho 45 days to finesterre is very fast ,,, with rest days i took 80 days ,,, tho meet others doing it in about 60 days !!! Enjoy...
Kevin,,, thank you for your guide ,,i hope to start walking from Almeria on 20 March 2018,,and all your info is a pdf on my phone ,,,so helpful,,i have booked 5 nights in Granada for Semana Santa ,,and then continue walking ,,hopefully right thru to Finesterre !!
hi ,,, I will be arriving in Almeria on the 18th March 2018 and should start walking the Mozarabe on the 20th march ,,, will arrange to see you hopefully on the 19th ,,,thanks
haa ,,i,m "lucky"in that i am single so that i can give myself all that time needed,,,just really feel the need for a long walk this time ,, but feel so privileged that the Camino is there for all of us !!! and for all the support given here on this forum ,,thank you !!
