Baztan 2013...deciding!
Oh, and about Bayonne, I thought it was a lovely city to walk around in, worth the time to get to know, especially after a long train ride! I even went to a yoga class! Delicious food, too. I stayed with a local person so can't give advice about where to stay, but the folks at the Cathedral are...- dd_soleil

Wow, I haven't heard of the Napolean or the Valcarloss routes -- can you send me your favorite links about them? The Baztan is great, I just posted my stages, and will try to get some blog posts up one of these days. :lol:- dd_soleil

My Baztan Route, Sept. 2012
Wonderful route! I recommend it if you're looking for a more solitary journey. Weather: The weather in September was pretty good! It was not too hot, there was a fair amount of sun, but it was quite drizzly at times, especially in Bayonne. Pilgrims: There was literally NOBODY in the albergues...- dd_soleil

Has anyone walked this route?
I walked this and it was AMAZING! The last 2 stages had a lot of traffic noise even though the walk was gorgeous and in the hillside above the highway so not right on the road and still pretty, but I recommend earplugs or music if traffic noise bothers you. DEFINITELY worth walking, not too...- dd_soleil

Has anyone walked this route?
Hi! I am thinking of walking this route in a few days from now (about Sept 12, 2012). Can you tell me, how is the weather? And maybe, what is the easiest way to Bayonne from southern Spain?
