    Montserrat to Pamplona Nov ´23

Indeed the information provided by the Associació d'Amics dels Pelegrins a Santiago is always revised and kept up to date. Sadly, it has been some time since I last walked the route. Long story short but I now find myself living in the Azores. I hope to return to live in Barcelona and walk...

    Montserrat to Pamplona Nov ´23

Certainly the route I suggested above is by no means a great challenge. It was a fairly short walk along the road before reaching the trail marked Camí dels Degotalls. I do not think you need to be concerned about the level of difficulty. It was far more of a challenge walking up to...

    Montserrat to Pamplona Nov ´23

I am uncertain of which trail you are being asked to avoid. It is a short stretch along the road from Montserrat before you come to the Camí dels Degotalls which is the way I have walked when going in the direction of Igualada.

    Montserrat to Pamplona Nov ´23

A lovely route but does require some careful planning in some sections due to the lack of accommodations. Enjoy this year's adventure!

    Montserrat to Pamplona Nov ´23

@Stivandrer How wonderful to read about your journey! I have walked this route a couple of times and have many vivid memories. It is my wish that one day I will again find myself there again. Indeed, the albergue in Artieda with its Mexican-inspired menu and artisanal patxaran is a favourite...

Looking for recommendations for pilgrim friendly accommodation in Barcelona.

While I have never stayed there, I have on many occasions walked past this albergue in Barcelona: https://reaj.com/albergues/mare-de-deu-de-montserrat/. It is located in Barcelona, in the neighbourhood Vallcarca, at the top end of the city near to where one will find the markers to begin the...

Big Camino from Barcelona - June 2024

While walking this route, I have relied on the most up-to-date PDF found on this site: http://amicsdelspelegrins.org/ca/cami-catala-per-san-juan-de-la-pena-2/. There you will find a list of albergues and services available to pilgrims along the way. The last time I walked this route there was...

Big Camino from Barcelona - June 2024

I have walked the route from Barcelona via the Cami Catalan and Aragonés followed by the Frances to Santiago. It was a wonderful walk with beautiful and varied scenery along the way and took a total of 52 days of walking. However, as mentioned by @oursonpolaire, I would be concerned about the...

More good news for those contemplating a walk on the Catalan Camino: a new albergue for pilgrims has now opened in Tàrrega. It can be found in the premisis of the old factory of Cal Trepat. Camino Catalán Experience

Hello Anaderol, The Catalan Camino is generally well marked although you will find fewer markings when compared to your experience on the CF. If you look at my reply above to @stevelm1, I posted the link for a PDF listing accommodations and services along the way. Do be advised that it will...

    Camino Catalán Experience

Hello, It is a pleasant urban walk to leave the city of Barcelona, with many beautiful architectural gems along the way. Exiting the city, one finds the Laberint d'Horta where the camino joins a nature trail that leads to the small community of Sant Cugat with its monastery. The walk from Sant...

    New Pilgrims' Albergue in Igualada

Road waking will become less, don't worry! You avoided plenty of road walking by not walking the del Norte route (beautiful but far too much road walking). I don't know if you have a place in mind to stay in Tarrega tomorrow. I can highly recommend an Airbnb place there where we have stayed...

My Cami St. Jaume -- from Llançà to Montserrat

@LarsN Just wondering if you went ahead with your planned walk in April? What did you find on the way? Any notable places to stay, visit, eat? (Or to avoid?) Hope it was a memorable journey. I will look forward to any insights you are willing to share.
