Setting out late September - Accommodations in Labruge

Private room with bathroom-we paid 75 euro but included an amazing breakfast and she gave us enough food and told us to make ourselves a sandwich and take fruit for lunch that day! Two meals and accommodations for two people for 75 euro was a really good deal!! Super nice place and friendly...

Setting out late September - Accommodations in Labruge

Email or call Smiling Places in Labruge. We just stayed there a few weeks ago and it was amazing. You will love it! I don’t think they are on Booking.Com as I booked directly. Also, Labruge is a good haul from Porto on the Senda. It is a good stopping point.

My husband and I plan to explore Castro Santa Trega while walking the Portuguese Camino. I’m seeing quite a few places on top of the hill/mountain. If you have visited this, please tell me what all there is to do and how much time to allow on top. I know there is an archaeological ruin there-is...

Thanks for your bit of info-we will be walking the same route in September and staying at Casa Puertas as well. Glad to hear it’s a nice place! Is there much to do or see in Oia? I think there is a monastery there, correct? Is it open?

Daily Musings from the Portuguese Coastal

My husband & I will be walking this route and for this Stage from Viana Do Castelo to Caminha, do you walk on sand or is it a path? We want to stay away from sand walking-my husband has a bad right leg and that would just be too difficult. If you can--please tell me any stretches that sand...

Cies Islands from Vigo or Baiona in 1 day?

We are interested in taking 1 day while walking from Porto to SdC to take a 1 day side trip to the Cies Islands. It looks like you can go from Baiona or Vigo. For anyone that has done it--where did you leave from? Can you take a boat in the morning and return the same day? We don't want to spend...
