I got one the first time I qualified and don't feel like I need another. I will get a credential stamped as a meaningful remembrance of my next round in April.
Well put. For some, research, anticipation, planning, training, are ways of extending the experience, as much as being present during and reflecting on after.
And it's a great observation that perhaps it's sort of compensating for the wild ride of the Pandemic.
"- I began to accept that I’m introverted which took a lot of weight off my shoulders. "
So many of us are! Framing things differently can help enormously.
One great source is Susan Cain's book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking.
She has TED talks as well...
Since you asked for tips, I will share that both from personal and professional (psychologist) experience and knowledge, exposure therapy is the surest way to reduce anxiety, including social anxiety. If you gut it out the first few times you say hello, introduce yourself, ask "Mind if I sit...

One of us is fully vaccinated and the...
You've gotten great advice above but I'll share my experience. I (raised RC now Episcopalian) just did a short Camino (CF) with a Jewish atheist, arriving Palm Sunday; because I took quite ill I could not walk the first two days; I insisted she walk on and I would meet her each evening; she...
