    Pleasures of urban walking

Great idea. I live in downtown Boston, a very walkable city that was created by adding landfill and, in the 19th century, annexing near by towns. The result is an odd shaped city of about 25 neighborhoods. I decided to make my urban walk an adventure. My goal was to walk in every neighborhood...

Cathedral Closed...Is the Camino still worth it?

Yes the Cathedral was beautiful and much appreciated and the Pilgrim Mass was moving even though Boafumeiro was not used. But what I found special along The Way were the quite hours of prayer as I walked each day.

Which route to walk if we're only doing the last 100km to Santiago?

I like this idea. I’d add that both Valenca and Tui are wonderful towns. It’s worth spending a day in these towns before departing. The fort in Valenca and the Cathedral in Tui are both special.

For those who see the Camino as part of their faith journey ...

Thanks for the kind words. The English Mass in SdC was so warm and meaningful. For the Offertory prayers we each had the opportunity to light a votive candle and name publicly or pray privately for our special intentions and then place the lite candle at the foot of the alter. So special!

For those who see the Camino as part of their faith journey ...

Luckily we happened upon it. It was the end of the day and I noticed a sign at the hotel so we hurried over. They were so warm and kind and their blessing so meaningful. There were just 3 Peregrinos and we all felt so loved. Thanks.
