    I walked May 18 - June 28. Carried a 500ml bottle water each day. I'am still here, didn't die of thirst. Of course I stopped at a few bars each day for hydration.

    Just four main things for me. Thought of them over and over before I left. 1 .Rain jacket or poncho, went with rain jacket (lucky to have only 3 days of rain to walk in) 2.     On my first Camino last year I wasn't to sure and and I just said cerveza. The bar tender held up a large glass and I nodded yes and he replied Grande. So the rest of the trip I just ordered cerveza grande and that's what I got.

    The one thing I should have done before I left for the Camino

    So true. I didn't on my first Camino, wish I had. I Start my second Camino May 12 and have been doing lots of walking already but with no pack. But next week the pack goes on and the hill training starts. Being 65 on my first Camino those hills just about did me in.

    Wise Pilgrim or Buen Camino or both?

    I have both Buen Camino and Wisepilgrim app along with google maps. Also use Gronze at the start of each day to decide if there are any variants that day I want to walk and were they start. Its not like it takes a long time to look at an app.
