How many days walking from Porto to Santiago?

Hi there, did the Portuguese from Porto starting mid October 2017 and Northern Portugal and Galicia were experiencing Forest and trail fires. Never got close to the Camino route but we did see the smoke in the distance. They say never tell the Devil your plans so I'm sure now Ive said that it...

Not Camino... but I don't know where else to ask

The wisdom of many on here and the heartfelt wishes of most in relation to your line voice asking for assistance amazes but does not surprise me. Good to hear you’ve lightened the burden by sharing the hurt with family and friends. I’m sure you will sleep easier for it. Chin up.

will my old shoes ever fit?

I'm suffering the same problem. My boots were great on the Camino but my feet swelled and spread during the trek and my boots accommodated it. Most of my shoes now feel like I've put some else's on and tight and uncomfortable.

Liz, I think it's fair to say like all mountain weather it can change in a tick. I'm setting off from St Jean on the 15th Sept but decided to be sensible to start and staying at the Kayala (Orrison) that night but then going with the flow. Our paths may cross at some stage. Buen Camino. If 13...

    Did/Does this forum help you?

Yes and yes in bucket loads, I head off to Biarritz in two weeks and set off from St Jean on the 15th September. I'm like a kid on Xmas Eve, so exited but also very nervous of the challenges that lie ahead. Buen Camino

    Transformation and the Camino

Meri thanks for the kind welcome. Have spent all my working life in London and the rat race that that involves has an affect on you. I have some great friends but i'm sure they will agree that London is not the most social/friendly place to live as everyone dealing with their own daily rat race...

    Transformation and the Camino

Buen Camino to you all. Great reading this. Still waiting to confirm my start date in September anxious and exited in the same amounts. Like many I have my reasons for wanting to do my Camino. If I can gain just a little bit of the positive experiences spoken by many I will indeed be happy...
