God forbid you say "Washington." Folks assume D.C. (Which irks me to no end.) Even when I lived in Everett and Mountlake Terrance I told folks when traveling I was from Seattle. (Which I do live IN Seattle now.)
It's funny to run into folks.

Don't forget that if you get a new tattoo, there is no soaking in water for a few weeks while it heals. If it were me, I would wait to get that tattoo in the winter when I wouldn't be swimming anywhere. I know it is special to get it right at the end of the Camino, but it may not be convenient
Good point! I usually carry all that stuff myself, so didn't think of it split up between two people.
I do love tent sleeping. To me the best part of backpacking is time at camp. There is a special feeling when carrying everything you need to survive and be comfy.
For those that have camped on...
