European SIM - data-only or talk/text?
Update: I got a Portuguese Vodafone eSIM before leaving Canada as it was cheaper than Orange/Airalo/Holafly for minutes. Website is very easy to use and in English for buying the eSIM but on landing in Dublin I received texts in Portuguese about roaming fees and wound up having a conversation...- dtoug

European SIM - data-only or talk/text?
Thank you all for your feedback! Very helpful! Sounds like I could get by with data-only by emailing auberges or using Skype but having some minutes would be more convenient. Great suggestions on the Orange, Airalo and Vodafone plans. I like the idea of having a few international minutes/texts...- dtoug
