Last October I had a 33 day window, as well. Starting in SJPP I followed a 31 day plan which felt very comfortable to me. The last two days were only 20km each so I did them in one to have more time in SDC. Total 30 days. For me the biggest issue with the tight window was working out the time...
I was on a 31 day plan but at the end did the last two days in one and still got to the pilgrim office in Santiago by 4pm for a total of 30 walking days. I didn't feel like I rushed it or stressed myself.
I realize this is a long shot but if anyone sees a black and grey glasses case with two sets of glasses in it on the trail pick them up. I'm in Logrono tonight. Bueno Camino!
Probably a little late but if anyone is on the MAD to Pamplona flight and wants to share a taxi to SJPP, I have one reserved for just after 1pm when the flight lands. I shouldn't be hard to find.
