Where in Camino Frances (800km) Route Do I need to Spend more Time exploring the Cities/Towns?
Oh my gracious, we do love our Camino, wonderful to see all the suggestions. I love detours, a wonderful oneis from Najera where I hopped a bus to San Millan de la Cogolla with the upper and lower - Suso and Yuso monastries.- Juliawalking

Extra day if you're not a city person
What about a detour, such as to the two Monastries of San Milllan de la Cogolla. I took a bus from Najera. I walked from Ventosa, left my pack in an albergue in Najera and took the bus to San Millan and back to Najera for the night. Hi Cindy, here is my Roncevalles experience from rather a long time ago: When we finally made our way into Roncevalles, we went to the hotel to book supper, there were two sittings and you needed to pay ahead of time.
