Yes,,, but the fire was in 2013,,,it was rebuilt by 2015,,, inside as well,,,I have been lucky enough to to get to mass there twice!! The last time was in May this year!!

yes the route Napolean is closed,,at that means closed ,,from the 1st nov ,, i walked over that route in 2016 leaving on 31st oct from sjpd in beautiful weather,,shorts and tshirt ,,,4 days later and it was very cold and raining,, who can tell !!!

on my first camino i 2015 i started in pamplona,,mainly because i had never done any walking like this before and thought that walking across the pyrennes for my first day was asking too much !!!! so last year in oct i have walked portuguese and finesterre and muxia,,then also the camino...
And just finished more Camino this year!!!did about 550 kms with my pack!! Down to about 7.5 kgs now and no back problems at all ...Feels strange now without pack
I'm in full agreement ,,,,, walked Pamplona to santiago last sept/ oct carrying about 8.5 kg all the way and my back and arthritis felt much better,,, yes
