    Help getting lodging past Sarria

Consider staying at municipal/parochial albergues. They generally don’t take reservations and often have beds when “everything is booked “. Good luck and Buen Camino

I think you’re talking about Chabelo Padilla. You can find him on FB.

    Albergue Municipal de Najera

I take issue with your statement that it was dirty. I was a hospitalero there last year and can confirm that the entire albergue was cleaned daily from top to bottom and freshly washed sheets and pillowcases were provided to every pilgrim every day.

    Molinaseca to Rabanal?

Does anyone have experience walking “backwards “ from Molinaseca towards Cruz de Ferro? In the rain? I had a rough go coming down the regular way several years ago. Worried about unsure/slippery footing and considering walking on the road.

Your absence will be a big loss for the Camino. I’m very glad to have stayed the night at your beautiful albergue and wish you all the best in your next chapter.

I think there are more tactful ways to complain about a presentation. I sincerely hope the person who gave the talk is it reading your comments in the forum.

    Rabanal del Camino Albergues

I stayed at Guacelmo one September, which was very nice but freezing cold (a three albergue blanket night) sleeping in an out building. The hospitaleros were kind enough to de-bedbug me after I’d picked them up in Astorga, for which I am still grateful. This past year I stayed with Kim at The...

Horse rental AL PASO in Las herrerías

When my granddaughter and I rode up last June in a party of six, we were accompanied by Victor and three young men who walked beside. They were very attentive to safety and the whole thing was very pleasant. After joining everyone for a drink and a snack at O Cebreiro the men returned to the...

Hot spot on toe close to leaving on Camino

I suggest you watch Rebecca Rushton’s videos on YouTube. She’s a podiatrist/blister expert from Australia. Not sure if you’re referring to a potential blister on top of your toe or underneath (pinch blister) but she’ll set you straight on how to handle. Buen Camino.
