    I have looked at Gronje and Booking.com. Thank you all for your advice and suggestions. They are much appreciated. I have sent a couple of emails and have received a positive response from Casa Sabina. I’ll see if I get any other today before confirming with Casa Sabina.

    I’ve been looking at accommodation ( a double room) for the first few days of the Frances, specifically Roncesvalles or Burguete on 22 April but without success. Is this because the hotels etc are closed at present? I had no problem in SJPdP.

    We got sellos at the Guardia Civil in A Gandara. The officer was very friendly. I suggest that pilgrims approach the local offices.

    I totally agree with Richard. The responsibility rests on the cyclist. I've seen several near misses where the walker had no opportunity to take evasive action because the cyclist was riding too fast.
