This is kind of what I expected from past experience but I found it not to be the case on my most recent Camino(s) this fall. I walked the Norte, Vadiniense, San Salvador and Primitivo and had dinner most nights either at 7:30 or 8. There were a few places, maybe 3 or 4 where 8:30 was the norm...
Hey Deb, thanks for the examples, and for what you posted before. I apologize for my part in you thinking I was being rude (I may have been) but that is not what is intended.
People are making important decisions and they need timely information that is as valid as possible. You have provided...
Are you on the Camino right now? That's really all I want to know in order to consider whether your opinions about the Camino right now are valid. I don't mean this negatively, but if your comments are not in real time you are contributing to the catastrophizing.

Sounds like the sleeping bag is the way to go. I am still weighing the sheet and a liner but I am worried about those nights when I would have to wear all my clothes too! I slept on the side of the road in my boots inside a good bag in the Kalahari Desert 30 years ago and it is still fresh in...
I have had a hard time finding a somewhat affordable light sleeping bag under 750g. they are out there but I am not willing to pay over $400 for them! My sheet and liner are light but I do not think they are going to do the job. Sleeping is important so I will probably carry the extra weight...
I am heading to St. Jean on September 14 and am hoping to get to Santiago by October 15 or 16. I am pretty well-prepared but I have two packing/supplies questions. These are both climate-related.
I am wondering if I will need a light (1Kg) sleeping bag or if a sheet and fleece liner will be...
