In the fall of 2023, I walked from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela for about 30 hours.

CF detour to Cañas
Updated information. It closed to visitors, I think, in 2021. I can't see whether nor not the community has since vacated it, since the date of the linked article here, which if so would be incredibly sad.
