One more thing...should I buy my ticket now or at the kiosk at the airport? I get into Madrid at 7am and have hotel reservations in Pamplona that night. Last time, I spent time in Madrid and then took a train.
I'm booking a bus from Madrid airport to Pamplona for September. Does anyone know why some tickets say ALSA Bus Guaranteed and some don't? The ones that don't are 13 euros cheaper. Would it be another bus company even though it's on the Alsa site?
What can the weather be during the first week of November, coming into Santiago? I know it's impossible to predict but any generalities? I walked in 2012, arriving mid October and it was beautiful.
Sorry, everyone...I am going Sept/Oct. Thanks, Doug! A couple of my friends are also going at another time...first timers-I'll pass that along to them also.
I know there are many posts about this...can't find anything that I need! I'm looking for a detailed daily training schedule others have used for the Camino. This is the second time I've walked but have fewer months to train. thanks!
I walked the Camino in 2012. I continue to realize that the lows were absolutely just as important as the highs, even though it didn't feel that way at the time. Both taught me so much about myself.
It's been almost 2 years since I walked the Camino and I am still somewhat speechless when I'm asked about what it was like. There are still no words to describe what it meant to me. The feelings have never left. I'm planning to go again next May.
I walked Roncesvalles to Santiago last Sept 2012. I miss it everyday but I find myself re-living it so much more right now, and wishing I was getting ready to go. So many memories...the good times and the bad times will always be a huge part of my life! I will be back!
Thanks for all the info!! I think Le Puy it is! I just ordered 'The Way of St James Vol 1 (France): Le Puy to the Pyrenees' (Cicerone Guides) even though I'm not looking to go until 2014. Never too early to start the research to keep me pumped up!
I walked the Camino Frances last October, beginning in Roncesvalles to Santiago, and now am eager to do it again!!! I'm thinking about starting in France and was wondering which route is the most popular?

Hi Kay,
There are quite a few of us solo walker ladies starting either in St. Jean or Roncesvalles on the 4th or 5th of Sept. Take a look at the September 2012 thread to see the group! I think we are all going to be on the lookout for each other!
Cindy
Anna, Penny and everyone else!
I was starting out on the 1st of Sept but my plans have now changed and I will leaving around the 4th or 5th from Roncesvalles. So maybe I will be starting in time to meet all of you who are starting in St Jean. Penny, we should meet on the 4th in Roncesvalles! I...
