Nervous!
I'm leaving the US in a week. . .hard to believe! I've been reading the forum all year, and picked up lots of great tips--what to pack, what to wear, socks and liners, and best of all Bag Balm, to grease up the feet and prevent blisters. An unholy year on the Camino Frances
I have done hiking around the world, and this is definitely a cultural thing. In the US it took about 40 years to change people's attitudes, starting with Lady Bird Johnson and "Keep America Beautiful." Seems to me that one should carry a litter bag, pick up a few extra bottles along the way...- nonieconnor
